The Philadelphia Building Managers and Operators Association was founded in 1928 and incorporated in 1930. The purposes of this Association are as follows:

To promote the advancement of sound engineering practice and the observance of high professional standards in the operation and maintenance of office, institutional, group residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
To encourage mutual cooperation and assistance among its members.
To aid and assist the dissemination of pertinent information and data, the advancement of educational opportunities, and the exchange of ideas in furthering improved building operation.
And to cultivate good fellowship and friendly intercourse among members of the Association and other related associations.
