The Philadelphia Building Managers and Operators Association was founded in 1928 and incorporated in 1930. The purposes of this Association are as follows:
- To promote the advancement of sound engineering practice and the observance of high professional standards in the operation and maintenance of office, institutional, group residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
- To encourage mutual cooperation and assistance among its members.
- To aid and assist the dissemination of pertinent information and data, the advancement of educational opportunities, and the exchange of ideas in furthering improved building operation.
- And to cultivate good fellowship and friendly intercourse among members of the Association and other related associations.
